Field Service Technician

Northwest Petroleum Service, Inc. (NPS), a progressive and growing petroleum equipment, installation, and service company, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our growing team in the greater Eau Claire/Chippewa Valley area. Be a part of a small company where you can make a big difference. Work independently while being part of an extraordinary team that has provided service to our customers for over 45 years. The ideal candidate would possess outstanding customer service skills and be able to pay close attention to details.

The Field Service Technician Job Duties:

  • Maintain and repair various types of electronic petroleum equipment including fuel dispensers, tank monitors, fuel management systems, cash register systems
  • Install electronic and mechanical equipment for service stations, commercial fueling facilities and related work
  • Provide great customer service
  • Maintain parts and inventory control
  • Must reside in the greater Eau Claire/Chippewa Valley area and dispatched from this geographic region
  • Previous electrical/electronic and mechanical experience
  • Computer and IT skills
  • Willing to obtain state and manufacturer certifications
  • Has a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays on rotational pager duty
  • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions as needed
  • Must be able to work independently

The ideal petroleum Field Service Technician candidate:

  • Has experience with and/or knowledge of IT systems, computer repair, and software tools and applications
  • Excels in technology, electronics, and mechanics
  • Enjoys problem solving and working with hands to repair electrical and mechanical issues
  • Has great customer service skills
  • Pays attention to details
